Exporting Maps to AutoCAD

Image result for Exporting Maps to AutoCADYou can save both geospatial features and DWG objects to DWG format from the Display Manager. This allows you to share styled maps with users who do not have Display Manager.
To save a styled map to DWG format
    1. Build your map, styling your features and drawing layers as desired.
    2. Display the layers on the map at the scale you want recipients to share.
For example, turn off undesired layers and zoom into the area to export.
    3. Click Output tabMap Data Transfer panelSave Current Map To AutoCAD.
  1. In the Save Current Map To AutoCAD wizard, do the following:
    • On the Choose A Method screen, specify the method to use (Editable or Visual) and click Next.
    • On the Specify A Location screen, specify a folder and name for the converted file. If you selected Visual as the conversion method, click Finish. If you selected Editable as the conversion method, click Next.
    • On the Set Conversion Options screen, you can select a template to use in the conversion process. Same-named layers, line styles, and blocks in the template will determine the appearance of their corresponding features in the current drawing.
If you leave this field blank, no template is used during conversion. In that case, same-named layers, blocks and linetypes in the current map are used. For more information, see the Concept tab in this topic.
If no same-named items are found in either location, features are converted using default settings in AutoCAD. For example, features with no equivalent AutoCAD layer name will appear on layer 0.
You can also choose to save attribute data as XData in AutoCAD. For drawing objects, the object data table name is included with the XData entries. For geospatial features, the feature class and schema names from the original feature are included. You can display XData in AutoCAD using Express tools > List XData.
  2. Click Finish to convert the map to a plain AutoCAD file.
