How to assign a coordinate system to a Civil 3D DWG

There are 4 different ways to assign coordinate systems in Civil 3D

Drawing Settings:

1. Open the Settings tab in the Toolspace
2. Right-click on the DWG and "Edit drawing settings"

3. Select a projection and coordinate system on the first tab of the dialog
 
MAPSTATUSBAR
  1. Type in the command line and switch it on
  2. The statusbar of Map 3D will appear in the menu at the bottom of the Civil 3D program
  3. Use the drop down list in the user interface to assign a coordinate system to the DWG

MAPCSLIBRARY
  1. Type MAPCSLIBRARY in the command line
  2. The coordinate system library opens
  3. Select a coordinate system from the list to assign it to the DWG
ADESETCRDSYS
  • Type ADESETCRDSYS in the command line and select a coordinate for one or many drawings.
