How To Add Baselines to a Corridor in AutoCad Civil 3D

To add baselines using the ribbon

  1. In the drawing, click the corridor.
  2. Click Corridor tabModify Corridor panelAdd Baseline  Find.
  3. In the Create Corridor Baseline dialog box, specify a baseline name.
  4. Specify the baseline type:
    • Alignment and Profile: Specifies that the baseline will be comprised of an alignment and profile, and displays the Horizontal Alignment list so you can select the alignment.
      Horizontal Alignment
Lists the horizontal alignments that are available. Click  to select an alignment in the drawing.
    • Feature Line: Specifies that the baseline will be comprised of a feature line, and displays the Site and Feature Line lists so you can select the feature line.
      Site
Lists the sites that are available. Select a site from the drop-down list or click to select an object in the site in the drawing, which selects the site and filters the list of feature lines.
Note: Leave this as <None> to list the feature lines that are not stored in a site.
      Feature Line
Lists the named feature lines that are available in the specified site or that are outside of a site. Select a feature line name from the drop-down list or from the drawing. If you select the feature line from the drawing without first selecting a site, the site will also be selected.
Tip: If a feature line is not named, it will not appear in the drop-down list. You can click  to select a feature line (named or unnamed) in the drawing. If the selected feature line is not named, the Apply Feature Line Names dialog box is displayed so you can enter a name for it.
You can select feature lines that have been created using the feature line creation tools, including dynamic or static feature lines that have been extracted from a corridor.
Tip: Feature lines that have been extracted from a corridor and are either dynamic or static to that corridor can be selected for use as a baseline in the same corridor. For more information, see About Using Multiple Dynamic Baselines in a Corridor.
